Gigi
Felch -aka- G Melody
Model, Singer, Dreamer
 Growing
up in the vibrant city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Gigi Felch, better
known as G Melody, was surrounded by the rich tapestry of Caribbean
culture and creativity. Her fascination with fashion began at
a young age, inspired by her aunt, a talented seamstress who crafted
beautiful garments. By the age of five, Gigi was already hand-making
clothes for her dolls, a passion that evolved into creating her
own clothing items as she grew older.
Gigi's
love for creativity extends beyond fashion. She expresses herself
through various forms of art, including poetry, music, photography,
drawing, and beauty, such as hair and makeup. Her dream of becoming
a model was fueled by watching "America's Next Top Model,"
where she aspired to make waves and highlight the beauty of curvy,
plus-sized women in the fashion industry by disrupting societal
norms.
In
2020 and 2021, Gigi's modeling dreams took flight as she modeled
for Cashmerette, a Boston-based plus-size sewing pattern company.
She became the cover model for their Belmont Leggins & Yoga
Pants and Saybrook Tank sewing patterns. This experience amplified
her aspirations and showcased her talent. Currently, Gigi is a
model for Curvention in Albany, NY, an organization that celebrates
full-figured women through arts, entertainment, and fashion, with
a focus on body positivity and self-love.
Outside
the creative world, Gigi is an accomplished professional. She
is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute. She holds a Master of Business Administration
(MBA) in Strategic Leadership and Management from Fisher College,
and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
Gigi
is actively involved in professional development and leadership
initiatives. She is a 2025 Capital Region Young Professionals
Network Executive Mentorship Program participant through the Capital
Region Chamber and a 2024 Catalysts for Change Leadership Program
participant with The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital
Region. Additionally, she is a member of PMI Upstate, where she
volunteers on the Marketing committee and engages in project management
best practices. Gigi also serves as a board member for the Schenectady
Scholars Charter School, a Montessori-inspired charter school
serving students in grades K-4, in Schenectady, New York.
In
her spare time, Gigi enjoys watching movies, eating Haitian food,
and spending time with her family.
