Tommy
Kodel is a Christ-Centered hip-hop artist, producer, educator,
and influencer who developed a love for Hip Hop and Rap music
as a young man growing up in the '90s. He took his calling
to music and ministry seriously after having a series of dreams
about being next to perform on stage without any lyrics. Determined
to create life-changing music, in 2019, he released his debut
single, "Set Free," featuring Annie Kay. Soon
after, in 2020, he released his debut album, THE UNVEILING.

Tommy
now has a new single, "For The Lord," which
was birthed from connecting with producer Calvin Cooper after
a live performance one night in Bridgeport, CT. At the time, Cooper
had several unfinished tracks in the can, waiting for the right
rap artist to record. When Tommy heard the "For The
Lord" beat and the chorus for the first time, he instantly
knew he had to be a part of it and began penning lyrics.
"For
The Lord" is the epitome of Gospel rap. It is an upbeat dance
track with a live, funky bass line, and hard-hitting percussion,
wrapped in a 90's flow. "For The Lord" features soulful
vocals by Gospel singer Austin Carr and biblical, thought-provoking
lyrics by Tommy. Tommy received inspiration for the song lyrics
from Apostle Marcus Stovall's preaching and whole-hearted dedication
to doing everything for the Lord.
"For
The Lord" is independently released by Tommy Kodel Productions,
LLC, and Cooper's Clear Image Music Group, LLC. The
single is available now on all digital music platforms. In
addition to his passion for music, Tommy co-leads a hip-hop outreach
ministry in his community called Holy Smoke. The Holy
Smoke Youth and Young Adult Outreach Hangout Center host
an evening of rappers, singers, dancers, and guest speakers every
third Friday in Bridgeport. Holy Smoke provides teens,
youth, young adults, Gen Z, and millennials with an opportunity to
connect and network with each other and grow spiritually at a
place outside of a church where they can freely express themselves,
their gifts, and their talents.
Through music and his outreach, Tommy is dedicated to sharing
the unwavering message of redemption, hope, and new life
found in Christ. He is the new, now and next generation
of change agents who do works for the Lord and represent the promise
of the Kingdom.
